For a long time now CIR food has realized that a company is not simply a player in an economic system, but it is also an entity that can play many different roles to integrate the economic, social and environmental systems, by valuing the relationship with its own employees, local communities, consumers, public officials, services and interest groups.

Coherently with its Company Mission, CIR food has adopted an Environmental Management System, certified under the UNI EN ISO 14001 law.

The principles on which this Environmental Management System is founded are expressed in the Environmental Policy as follows:
“CIR food is committed to promote any action aimed at protecting people’s health and the environment.”
CIR food is in fact convinced that the development of own business must be sustainable and compatible with the surrounding environment, must create opportunities for the people and the citizens and employees, as it is devoted to continuously improve its services maintaining a balance between social, environmental and economic responsibilities.

This is why, conscious of the fact that the wellbeing of all parties is a basic requirement for its present and future, CIR food is committed to follow and comply with the following pledges:

  1. To comply with environmental rules and laws
  2. To constantly check its environmental systems
  3. To choose and use certain food and no food resources
  4. To adopt measures to save energy and water
  5. To control and reduce waste
  6. To adopt management policies that offer the best protection for the environment
  7. To descrease the environmental impact of its activities and to better utilize resources
  8. To establish environmental goals, which, if possible, must specify quantities
  9. To outline detailed plans and allocate adequate and qualified resources to reach those goals
  10. To periodically evaluate to what degree these goals have been achieved
  11. To inform all interested parties of the environmental objectives and polices, and the results obtained
  12. To foster all initiatives aimed at protecting the health and the environment by training all employees and involving suppliers
