Since 29/04/2003, Cir food has had its Environmental Management System certified in accordance with UNI EN ISO 14001:1996, and since 08/06/2006, in accordance with its subsequent revision UNI EN ISO 14001:2004.

CIR food is committed to implement any necessary step to protect the health of the people and the environment, organizing its business in ways aimed at sustaining and protecting the environment, and, from this point of view, developing and building opportunities well balanced between social, environmental and economic responsibilities.

CIR food, acknowledging that customer satisfaction is a vital requirement for it present and future success, is committed to promote and sustain the following operative guidelines:

  • Compliance with environment laws and regulations
  • Constant monitoring of the environmental impact of its businesses (use of resources, water drainage, gas emission, production of waste....)
  • Adoption of management procedures protecting the environment
  • Constant reduction of the businesses’ environmental impact, optimizing, among other things, the use of resources
  • Planning and setting goals for environmental efficiency
  • Drawing up and enforcing plans, assigning quality and adequate resources, to reach the set goals
  • Periodic evaluation of the accomplished goals
  • Inform, and spread news about environmental goals and results, to the interested areas
  • Train the staff working in the company
  • Involve suppliers to promote the company’s environmental policies

CIR food believes that obtaining the environmental certification, in accordance with UNI EN ISO 14001, is an important opportunity to further improve its organization and services in view of establishing a trustworthy and transparent relationship with its customers.
