about us

CIR food is one of the major companies operating in the restaurant and food service business in Italy and Europe. It is present in 16 Italian regions. The national headquarter is in Reggio Emilia, the members are 5.500. Outside of Italy, it operates in Belgium, Bulgaria, USA and Vietnam.

Its business comprises all market sectors:

  • Community and Institutional Food Service (providing food services in workplaces, schools, hospitals, healthcare centres, communities, and for the military)
  • Restaurant Service (Pastarito-Pizzario restaurants, Rita self-service restaurants, Piazza del Sole pizzerie-focaccerie, snack bar)
  • Meal Tickets with its Bluticket Division
  • Banqueting, Social and Contract Catering under its trade mark Gargantuà
  • Planning of Educational Services through its company Progettare Zerosei

 It operates directly, or through franchises with its trade marks and know-how.

CIR food has a certified Quality System under UNI EN ISO 9001:2000, it has obtained the environmental certification ISO 14001 and some of its plants are certified to produce and use organic products. In the February 2009 CIR food has obtained social responsibility certification SA8000, and in 2010 Certification BS OHSAS 18000:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment).
